Wadjemup Wirin Bidi Commemorative Ceremony

The project

The Wadjemup Wirin Bidi Commemorative Ceremony was a landmark gathering held to honour the Aboriginal men and boys who were imprisoned on Wadjemup between 1838 and 1931. With several groups attending the ceremony under different arrangements, clear and carefully tailored communication was essential.

We designed and developed three separate landing pages, each created around the specific needs of a different attendee group. Every page provided a tailored itinerary alongside relevant travel details, cultural information and practical instructions, ensuring attendees received the right information without having to navigate content that did not apply to them.

Together, the three pages created a clear and considered digital guide for an event of deep cultural significance. Accessible across devices and easy to reference throughout the day, they helped each group feel informed and prepared while treating the ceremony’s purpose and cultural protocols with the care they deserved.
